When installing the printer for the first time, you can choose whether you want to use the HP+ service.
The HP+ printer requires a continuous Internet connection (via WIFI or LAN) and the use of only original consumables.
HP+ also includes the ability to activate the Instant Ink service (optional).

A printer with dynamic security
Some HP printers are designed to work only with cartridgees that have a new or reused HP chip or electronic circuitry. These printers use dynamic security measures to block cartridgees with a non-HP chip or electronic circuit. Regular firmware updates ensure these measures are effective and block cartridgees that previously worked.
